TTEd Manchester 2020 PCE: ‘Trends in teacher training: The needs of trainers in different contexts.’

TTEdSIG members and guests can look forward to a day of engaging topics covering the latest trends in teacher training.  The wide range of themes brought by the impressive group of speakers assembled for the day’s event will help trainers to apply new insights into the particular needs and contexts of their training realities. Five well-known members of the ELT community – Penny Ur, Sue Garton, Kathleen Graves, Russell Stannard and Briony Beaven – will share their knowledge, experience and thoughts with teacher trainers and educators. The discussion will be around pertinent issues such as experienced teachers’ training needs, training in-service teachers, developing the skills of future generations of teachers, as well as meeting the needs of pre-service teachers whose first language may not be English.
