Coordinator: Dr. Bahar Gun

Dr. Bahar Gun holds BA, MA and PhD degrees in ELT. She has been working at İzmir University of Economics since 2003. She currently works as the Head of the Teacher Development Unit in the School of Foreign Languages (SFL). She is in charge of in-service teacher training and development programs in the SFL. Her research interests include EFL teacher education in general, and teacher cognition and reflective teaching and learning in particular. She is also a CELTA and ICELT tutor, and an OTA trainer.

Newsletter Editor: Jennifer Book

Jennifer Book teaches on Intensive English, the ELT elective, the MA (YLs) in English Language Teaching and the Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL at the University of Sussex. She previously taught in Italy and London, and has been a Trinity moderator and Diploma Examiner for Trinity College London for many years. She is delighted to be working with IATEFL colleagues and honoured to have been appointed Newsletter Editor for the TTEdSIG. She hopes to be able to strengthen the TTEd community by bringing a multitude of voices to the SIG newsletter.

Dr. Ozlem Inan

Dr. Ozlem Inan has been teaching English for 9 years and working at Sabancı University School of Languages. She holds CELTA and DELTA from Cambridge University. Besides being Pearson-certified master trainer, she has MSc degree on Curriculum and Instruction in Middle East Technical University and holds PhD on Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Technology in Middle East Technical University. She has been giving talks in national and international conferences on 21st century skills, teacher education, and mobile technologies in instruction.

Joint Event Planning Coordinator: Clare Hayward

Clare has been teaching, training and managing in the ELT world both the UK and internationally for almost 20 years.  She achieved her Trinity Dip Tesol, TQ(FE) and ME.d in Linguistics to gain knowledge to share and delivers on CELTA, DIP TESOL and other training projects.  Her conference presentations topics include teacher mentoring and support.  She volunteered with SATEFL for almost 10 years plus worked with English UK Scotland – organising and attending many enjoyable ELT events while growing her network.  At the moment she is a freelancer teacher trainer and works in corporate L&D.

Joint Event Planning Coordinator & Treasurer:

Khanh-Duc Kuttig

Khanh-duc has been teaching English since her university days. She works at the University of Siegen in Germany, and has a degree in English and Linguistics, and an MA in TESOL. She teaches mainly pre-service teachers at Siegen and organises professional development workshops for her local teaching association. She likes all things related to educational technology. She is TESOL/NGL’s 2021 Teacher of the Year.

Publicity Coordinator: Cristina Manea Gultekin

Cristina Manea Gultekin holds a Master’s degree in TESOL and a dual Bachelor’s degree in English and French. She has been teaching for 20 years now and she is currently located in Turkey where she teaches, trains teachers, tutors on CELT-S/P courses and speaks at national and international conferences. She has a rich managerial experience in preparing foreign languages programmes ranging from K12 to university in Europe and Middle East. Having a strong background in ELT, she is committed to research the psychological and social formation in English language teachers and learners, and the processes and practices through which professional development is implemented and developed continuously for better learning outcomes.
